Don't Miss These Chicago Area Marketing Events in July!

We share some can't-miss events that Chicago area marketers will want to attend in July.

At Diagram, we're always excited to engage with our local community, and the Chicagoland area is a rich source of knowledge and expertise. In order to help people in the area make the most of these resources, we've compiled a list of events taking place in July that you'll want to attend:

Chicago HUG

The monthly meeting of the Chicago HubSpot User Group will take place on Wednesday, July 13th. We've found a lot of value from attending the Chicago HUG in the past, and several members of our team are planning to attend this month's event, so we hope you'll RSVP so you can meet us there!

2112

The 2112 Music, Film and Tech Incubator is holding an event to present awards to businesses which have supported the Better Business Bureau for 25 years, and it will also include a 45 minute business marketing summit with some prominent local marketing leaders and a tour of the 2112 facility. This free event will take place on Thursday, July 14th.

CIMA Classic

The Chicago Interactive Marketing Association is holding their 10th annual CIMA Classic Golf Outing on Thursday, July 14th, providing a great opportunity for networking with other marketers. Tickets for this event are $195.

Chicago Innovation Exchange

The Chicago Innovation Exchange at the University of Chicago is a great resource for business and technology development. They offer regular free classes and workshops, including the following events which will be of interest to marketers:

Monday, July 18 - Know Your Audience: Design and Present a Pitch that Resonates! - A workshop looking at how to determine people's personality style and craft a pitch that resonates with them, presented by Erich Kurschat.

Thursday, July 28 - Video as an Online Marketing Tool - A workshop detailing the apps and equipment to use to create great video content, presented by Marki Lemons-Ryhal.

2016 Chicago Innovation Summit

The Chicago Innovation Awards is holding the Chicago Innovation Summit, featuring a number of speakers that will discuss business growth strategies, as well as opportunities to network with Chicago's business community. The event will take place on Thursday, July 21st, and tickets are on sale now.

Other Events

Wednesday, July 6 - Nonprofit Digital Marketing Workshop - This workshop, presented by Matt Cardoni, will help marketers for nonprofit organizations learn how to apply for Google Grants. Tickets to this workshop are $25.

Wednesday, July 13 - How to Connect with Chicago's Top Business Journalists - This panel discussion presented by the Publicity Club of Chicago will feature representatives from the Chicago Tribune, the Daily Herald Business Ledger, and other prominent Chicago publications, as they discuss how to get stories into print. Tickets for the event are on sale now.

Thursday, July 14 - Mobile Growth Chicago With Sprig & Curiosity - This month's meeting of Chicago's Mobile Growth Hackers group will feature a discussion by a panel of experts on mobile app campaigns, measurement tools, and strategies for SEO, messaging, and testing.

Tuesday, July 26 - Hella Good Content - A hands-on workshop and discussion about creating content that will grab people's attention and connect with your audience, presented by The Onion's Hassan S. Ali. Tickets to this workshop are $40.

Wednesday, July 27 - Intro to SEO - A class covering the basics of Search Engine Optimization, presented by Joe Anhalt. Tickets to this workshop are $40.
